Julia is a self-taught artist who loves color, realistic detail, and creating the illusion of depth. She focuses on the landscape, flowers, and still life, but also draws/paints the occasional building or wildlife subject. Her work varies from realism to representational or impressionistic, depending upon her subject, medium and mood. She also occasionally does custom mural/decorative painting, collaborates with local wood workers on their designs and adding custom decorative details with paint or ink, and occasionally accepts commissions.
