OUR MISSION

F.A.A.C.’s goal is to bring affordable access to the arts to the residents of rural Forest County and the surrounding area. We offer a variety of programming and events in the visual and performing arts, as well as assist the Forest Area Schools with funding for artist residencies.

The Board of Directors welcomes new ideas and values the varied experience and skills of our members. We encourage, but do not require, our membership to take an active role in our efforts in whatever capacity and to whatever extent they are able. If you would like to volunteer your time and/or skills with F.A.A.C., use the form on our Contact page.

We are a registered 501(c)(3) Charitable Organization, operating entirely by a volunteer board and officers.

F.A.A.C.’s efforts are funded by memberships, public and foundation grants, and private donations through our fundraising events. The organization receives an annual allocation from the PA Council on the Arts, a small annual allocation from Forest County, and generous funding from the Sarah Henne Rees & John Nesbit Rees Charitable Foundation.

FAAC also presents two major events each year. Watch our Events page or our Facebook for announcements and details.

  • Annual Art Auction Fundraiser
Held at the end of April, this casual cocktail party event includes lively and entertaining live and silent auctions of artwork donated by area artists and live music. This event helps to fund our annual Art on the Allegheny event in the fall. Tickets are required for this event.
  • Art on the Allegheny
This nature art-focused event offers artist vendors, demonstrations, mini art workshops for teens and adults, an art fun tent for children, live music throughout the day, and food vendors. The entire event is FREE to attend, with plenty of free off-street parking, and is held the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.
