FAAC’s goal is to bring affordable access to the arts to the residents of rural Forest County and the surrounding area. We offer a variety of programming and events in the visual and performing arts, as well as assist the Forest Area Schools with funding for artist residencies.
We are a registered Pennsylvania Charitable Organization, holding 501(c)3 status with the IRS., operating entirely by a volunteer board and officers. FAAC’s efforts are funded by memberships, public and foundation grants, and private donations through our fundraising events. The organization receives a small annual allocation from the PA Council on the Arts, and generous funding from the Sara Henne Rees & John Nesbit Rees Charitable Foundation, as well as various other local and public funding sources.
The Board of Directors welcomes new ideas and values the varied experience and skills of our members. We encourage, but do not require, our membership to take an active role in our efforts in whatever capacity and to whatever extent they are able. If you would like to volunteer your time and/or skills with FAAC, use the form on our Contact Us page.
